Adding & Editing Images |

Once you have created a new web page and set up your Web Page Structure (or not if appropriate) you can begin to add Images within your content.
Website images are very different in the way they should be handled, sized and uploaded from normal images. The goal is to upload the smallest possible (in file size) high quality images. The main reason for this is the delay images have in the speed a web page is loaded in a web browser. A page with an image which is less then 100 kilobytes in size is a lot faster to load than a page with a 2 megabyte image. You have to bear in mind, website users are often not patient and do not like to hang around waiting for image heavy pages to load.
This is why we recommend you purchase simple but effective Image Management Software. This will allow you to easily manipulate and more importantly re-size images to fit your web page dimensions (remember web page dimensions from the section on Web Page Structure).
Insert / Edit Image in INTERACT CMS PRO is a powerful feature which enables you to upload images into a website image directory from your desktop and insert these into web pages.
Insert / Edit Image Icon
Clicking on this icon will pop up the Image Properties Box in HTML Editor:
Click on Browse Server and up will pop up your Website Image Directory:
Double click on an image if it is within the Image Directory or click on Browse to go to your desktop and browse to an image you would like to use and double click.
Next click on Upload and the image will be uploaded from your desktop into your website Image Directory.
Once you have inserted the image you want into your web page you can then right click on that image to alter some of the Image Properties within the page.
You can re-size the image width and height to suit within Image Properties as well as border and alignment. Using the Link Tab you can also Hyperlink the image to URL, Anchor or to an e mail address if appropriate.
